I did a lot today of what man does best - Eat.
To celebrate Cindy's birthday, we decided we will 'pig' ourselves out from Raffles Place to Chinatown.
Main dish stop
A well known Chinese beef noodles in Far East Square, who won numerous awards from local TV food shows. Though the gravy is thick and rich, it's yummy, accompanied by the fragrant herbal soup.
Dessert stop
The Patissier is located in this small, little shop up at Ann Siang Road. There isn't a lot of marketing to make their existence known. Why? Simply because they don't need to.
Each piece of cake is an art. It's sensual both for the eyes and the tongue. Despite of the simple decoration of the store, the cakes just swept me away. Nyam!
Tea stop
Technically, only Joel had the 24-taste tea (Gosh, it sounds so weird in English - yaseimei) while Cindy and I had the chinese herbal jelly - Guilinggao. Good for skin and clear your body's poison, some may say.
And of course, with the Tangs' guided tour, I was equipped with the knowledge and history of some of the old shops in the areas and a happy and smiling stomach.
Hahahahaha........
Love you guyz, man!
