First time I spent Chinese New Year (CNY) in Spore alone.
Tot I would hv to stay at home and watch TV initially but at the courtesy of the Tangs, I was 'adopted' this year.
Didn't bring camera but let me paint the picture through words. We had steam boat of MUSHROOMS, veggies, fish & beef balls, fish, prawns, abalone, hoi sum, beef, tofu skin and "Five Spice" roll.
The soup is smackingly sweet with the mushroom aroma, slowly evaporating from the pot. The mashed meat in the roll is not only juicy but also tasty.
And to top it off, the warmth of a family was extended to a 'lost child' in a foreign land, there is nothing more one can ask for during CNY this year!
Filled with such nutritious food (not to mention plenty of them), we walked from Bedok South to Upper East Coast Road through a row of semi detached houses on Sennett Road, where a fren told us tales of a python that used to roam around on trees as well as pedestrian roads and finally ran over by a car, flat on the road. Then, to the Bedok Jetty in East Coast park via a tunnel from Bay Shore Park, where we walked through Bayshore Road, passing Costa Del Sol Condo.
A long walk, indeed, but a continuous and hearty conversation would take your mind away from the lethargic on ur feet. Sitting at the jetty, cool breeze blowing and catching up with good frens really made you wanna stay there forever.
Guyz, you all really made my CNY memorable! =)
