Sometimes life is hard. A question I always asked myself - How do you hang on when things fell apart? How does anyone do that?
If you go rock climbing (Good analogy, Matthews!), and you get stuck on a ledge, you suddenly focus on NOW! When yr life is in danger, you forget about the future. All your effort and yr attention goes into yr next step. Then yr next step. Inch by inch. Slowly and steadily, you would claw your way out.
When 24 hrs is too tough, take a look at the clock. Will I be okay for the next 5 minutes? Once you hv made it through those 5 mins, just aim at getting through the next 5. One at a time.
Not my first in hearing this but the rock climbing analogy is stuck to my head now ...
If you were embarking on a day's march, wouldn't it be foolish to try to carry enough food and water for a lifetime? Is it not strange, then, that many people carry around all their worries for the next 25 yrs and wonder why life is so difficult? We were designed to live for 24 hrs at a time - No more.
All along I tot I understand. But why do I always try so hard to live more than 24 hrs a day???
Something to ponder now ...
Another Ah-ha! moment after reading from the book - "Happiness in Hard Times
1 Thoughts:
leave every thing unto Him,and flee to a peaceful place where a humble heart bow down to pray... :)
