The zebra told me about this amazing idea she saw from one of the newsletters she subscribed to.Life on earth is never perfect and I used to think complaining is just a logical way out. Throughout the years, sisters and good frens hv reminded me again and again how blessed my life is and how wonderful life can be. It has contributed to a better person of me today.
So, you can't imagine my joy when I heard this idea that a church in Kansas City, US has started - to make a commitment of no complaining, criticizing, gossiping or using sarcasm for 21 days. And to make sure you are in track, you wear the little purple wrist bands as a reminder of their pledge. If you fail before the 21st day comes, you take off the bracelet and switch it to the opposite wrist and start counting the days after from scratch.
It may be frustrating if you hv to keep switching again and again. And yes, it takes effort but it is a good awareness for a start of how often we complain, even when we don't realize it at all! And to top it all, Christ Church Unity is sending the wristbands for FREE not only around US, but WORLDWIDE!
I don't normally wear rubber wristbands but with such meaningful purposes, how can you refuse? The zebra has ordered a few for our frens and I can't wait for mine to come !!!
I may be naive to say this but thanks to this little idea, the world is on its way to becoming a more positive place.
