It's compelling neither because of the script, not the actors/actresses. It's simply because the director, Hans Canosa, uses the old traditional way of filming - Split screens, which has existed since 1913.
A coin has two sides, just like how every story is. And split screens is just the perfect way to illustrate and definitely a rare gem in the filmmaking. Each characters is shot in their own slice of space, with occasional overlap and rare moments of union. It gives you the provocative visualization of the feelings that can't be expressed.
Those of you who can't multi-task, is not advisable to watch this movie, hehe!
