McQueen was an exceptional showman. No matter how simple the clothes were, he would nvr sent them down the standard runway. Whether it was breathtaking, terrifying or merely entrancing, he insisted that fashion should dare, enchant and awake the senses as well as adorn.

I stumbled upon the blw video from Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 1999 collection. The legendary piece of art - Dress sprayed by robotic painters worn by model Shalom Harlow evolved from one startling pattern to another.

I hv always marveled at how he managed to rock the establishment and push the creative envelope bit by bit, one lobster claw shoe step at a time. After watching his shows, you hv to seriously take a moment to snap back into reality. You're not really yrself bcoz of what you just seen will be playing in your mind.

With McQueen, trends can nvr explain why pleasure is pain or why fear is beauty. He is simply iconic.
