Robin Hood

Pondered by = Christine =

It would only be fair if I warn you I'm a Russel Crowe fan since Gladiators.

Robin Hood isn't as what I expected - in a good as well as bad way.

I hv come to realize Crowe is always awesome in those medieval, dirty kinda movies. He does his yeoman best. A man of few words and once silence is broken, wisdom is spoken. Luv it when he's cheeky at moments too, "Ask me nicely ..."

Cate Blanchett leaves an indelible impression and her impeccable talents just simply shines through. In her simple as well as ordinary clothes and not to mention, those long messy hair, she still has this aura of elegance glinting through.

Despite of the outstanding cast, the story line is somehow disappointing. There are too many events happening and before one really deepens, another event enfolds. The film is pretty though and there are solid moments here and there. But considered a work of cinema, with paid professionals involved, it's an extremely lackluster show.

Talk about missing the mark.
